tiny, difficult to see, white/flesh colored bump on penis head.

I had sex for the 1st time the thursday before last, about 10 days ago. I was diagnosed with folliculitis shortly after. I had shaving bump like bumps on my lower shaft, one on the base, and one in my pubic hair region. These developed too early to be an std, and the doctor said the same thing, and that they, in no way, resemble an std.

Well, today, I noticed a very hard to see white/skin colored bump on my penis head. You can't really see it unless you rub the skin on the head, then you can see it, and it is ever so slightly raised. It doesn't burn or itch, and dissapears after a while, it doesnt even look raised after a while. When it is at it's most visible, i have to turn my penis to tell it's raised.

I never noticed this before. I had unprotected oral sex, but the rest was protected.

Does this sound like any std? Herpes? Genital warts?

The person I was with said she has never had any type of herpes, and she is very careful about things like this. This doesn't make a difference, but, just letting you know...  Is it possible for Folliculitis to effect your penis head?

Doesn't Herpes start out as sores? I haven't had any sores, any bleeding, anything.

Thanks for any help.

Give it a try - you won't know till you try.  Just make sure to shower after and make sure the area is dry.

Do you think I can resume my running? Or do you think it will irritate the folliculitis?

Urology and nephrology (kidneys) aren't my field, but usually you start with urine tests for those.

You might try posting in kidney disease or urology.

And no worries - you are certainly not the only man to have penis pics.  ;)

also, these symptoms i have aren't too severe, just make me worry a bit. I'll get it checked out regardless.

Here is a description of my symptoms:

slight pressure in my kidneys that comes and goes, usually feels better after I urinate, but still comes and goes without urination. I am sort of constipated. The only thing that has changed over the last several days is that I haven't ran, I usually run every day. I have been drinking a lot of water, that doesn't seem to help the constipation. I drank some metamucil(sp?) and that helped a bit.

I have been going, just not as much as I think I should.

And frequent urination, in which afterward, there is still some urine left inmy penis, and it often leaks out after I zip up. This was at it's worst after the swab test, but is now sort of better. Still doesn't seem totally normal.

The urethra itself feels slightly irritated, this is likely due to the swab test, but I almost remember a slightly odd feeling before the swab test.

How do they test for a uti, kidney, or prostate infection? Through urine, right? I'd hate to go through another swab experience.

I think I'd follow up with a urologist.  I'm wondering about something kidney, UTI, or prostatitis.

It being worse after the swab isn't surprising.  It doesn't sound like they did it with much grace.

I seen two ppl. One at the health dept., one at my college's health place.

Both said the bump didn't look like anything. I mentioned my kidney feeling, and they didn't say much about it. What do you think that could be?

Also, something I have been experienceing, I have had a weird situation where some of my urine after urinating seems to stay in my penis, then when I zip up and start moving, it seems to come out. The swab test made this even worse. Does this sound like anything serious?

Did you tell your doctor how your kidneys feel?  You need to.  What did they say about the bump?

And I'm sorry you had the swab test.  A urine test would have been just as accurate.

I waschecked out today, and tested. The dr. didnt see anything abnormal. But, WOW, does getting tested for gonorrhea, and whatever the other infection was, hurt like the dickens. OMG. OUCH! It hurt even worse the next time I urinated. She said it should sting for the next few times i go to the restroom. I am not looking forward to that.

I was tested for everything but herpes, and I would like to get checked for herpes, but it's 100$. Ill get tested asap. The only symptoms I have had were a slight headache(more of a wrapping feeling around my head), and slight coming and going nausea. My kidneys have started to feel a little odd at times as well, and I am constipated. The headache and nausea/dizziness lasted for 2 or 3 days, they are gone, and were said to be anxiety symptoms from a Dr.

I am still slightly constipated--haven't one like I think I should have-- and my kidneys still get a slight kink in them at times, or however I should explain that feeling.

I am not sure how much of a symptom these things are of herpes, but I am still slightly worried. A test would make me feel much better.

LOL stop reading on the internet.  If you are going to read anything, read www.ashastd.org or http://www.cdc.gov/std/default.htm

I've never heard of anyone getting a wart within 10 days.  Ever.

Thanks Auntiejessi

I have read that it takes a while for a wart to appear, but I have also read it could appear withing a few days. Reading symptoms online is the worst thing you can do. lol It seems there are conflicting reports for nearly everything. The doctors apptmt. cant come soon enough.

Yes, and it might make some difference if no warts are present.

But remember - this can't be a wart.  Its way too soon for a wart to appear.

So using a condom only reduces the chances of catching hpv from an infected perosn by 70%? Would it make a difference if there is no visible wart?

No, not from oral sex, and yes, there is about a 30% chance that you could get warts while using a condom.  However, you wouldn't get warts for at least a month after exposure.

Make sure to point out the spot you are concerned with.  Sometimes what is so clearly obvious to us is barely visible to someone else.

I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow, im going to ask to be looked at as in depth as possible, whether its possible to get hpv from oral sex(given and received) while using a condom, or not.

Thank you auntie jessie.

Would it even be possible to contract genital warts if a condom is used, could you contract them from oral sex, even if there were no signs of having warts on/in the persons vagina/mouth?

Its not herpes, and its not warts.  Herpes doesn't give just bumps, and its too soon for a wart.

It could be simple irritation, but get it checked to be sure.

to go further in depth, I am positive the diagnosed folliculitis is folliculitis, The bumps showed up whe ni took my condom off, and slightly developed over the next couple of days, and have slightly stayed the same/started to go away after that. I am concerned with the bump on the head of my penis.
