worried

about 8 weeks ago i had unprotected sex with a girl.i kinda a knew the next day there was somthing wrong. that week my girlfreind whom i have protected sex with came over to see me.about 4 days later i developed a sore throat!me and my girlfreind also had sex that day and the condom burst.my doc took a chlamydia, gonorrhea and thrush test which came back neg.i also got a 6 week hiv and syphilis which came back neg.i also have sore testicals the odd pain just about an inch from the top of my penis.my girlfriend now has a sore throat and irregular vaginal bleeding and she is sore at the base of her back.i have had no discharge or burning when i pee what could this be as i am worried the symptoms seem like gonoorhea could it be possible that it wouldnt have been picked up on a week of being tested!and the gum clinic said that my 6 week hiv test is a good indicator.is this true!

Yes, it could, but she needs to be checked out as you are having symptoms also.  If she were the only one with symptoms, I'd say it was probably the bc pill, but you both are having symptoms, so you both need to get some follow up care from your doctors.

Gonorrhea and chlamydia will be picked up on a test usually within 5 days.  I wonder if you were tested for NGU, which is a non-specific infection in the urethra.  Ask your doctor to look for white blood cells in your urine.

Your gf also needs to be seen and tested.

Your HIV test is about 95% accurate at 6 weeks, give or take.  It is a very good indicator.
