Is a IGG test necessary (Grace or anyone with herpes experience)

CRI
I am a college student and must conserve my money.

As I've stated before Im a virgin and have only received oral sex once in my lifetime and that was almost 1 1/2 years ago. I have had no STD symptoms.

I always ask if I should be tested for HSV1 and every one says my risk was minute. So should I not test as I was probably not infected?

A definite answer would put me at ease.

Thank you

So is it safe to say that I am in the clear?

No need to test...  I wouldn't worry about it.

Take Care...

If you have never had symptoms of herpes (painful recurring blisters on your genitals) and your only exposure was oral sex once, I believe most doctors would say that there is no need for you to get tested.

Even if you were tested for HSV1 and it came back positive, there would be no way to know whether that was a genital (possible) or oral (more likely) infection.  Most adults test positive for HSV1, probably from being infected orally as a small child.

I would definitely drop it and move on.
