This post is over 3 years old, the person is not around anymore.
hey i was wondering what did yur results come back as after getting retested im going thru the same exact thing rite now they told me it looked like i had a cyst rupture in my ovary then the called me 2 days later and said i had a low positive for gonorrhea im really hoping this isnt really a positive i've been with my babydaddy going on 7 yrs and this wud b a low blow from his part cus i know i havent cheated im not to sure bout him plz some feedback wud b nice!
Well, you said the symptoms didn't go away. So, if you still have symptoms and you were positive for gonorrhea at the ER, you should test positive again if you still have it. You know what I mean? So, with the symptoms you have, if you are not positive at the gyno, then you didn't have gonorrhea in the first place.
Either way, go with your instinct on this one. If he was negative and didn't have symptoms, then you had a false positive.
Yes I saw his results and he hasn't had any symptoms whatsoever. The ER doctor thought I may have had a ruptured ovarian cyst because she apparently found a small amount of free fluid in my pelvis and I had been complaining of abdominal pain mostly in the lower right quadrant.
I don't have a gynecologist currently because I haven't been sexually active very long and never had any problems before. So it's going to take a while before I can get in to see one which is why I decided to post here. The thing is, even if I'm retested, it won't prove anything because if I did have it somehow, the antibiotic should have cured it already. So I don't know how I can prove the hospital's test was wrong or figure out how I might have contracted it without having any sexual contact with someone infected.
I'm always playing devil's advocate. But did you see his results for yourself or did he tell you? Men are generally very sensitive to gonorrhea. It shows up in them very quickly and a test will also test positive very quickly.
But how they thought you had a ruptured cyst on your ovary...I don't know... the more I try to see some logic in this, the more i'm getting confused. The best thing for you to do is to follow up with a gynecologist.
It is possible to get a false result. Gonorrhea is not easy to detect in women if I remember what I was told by the health department RN correctly. I think I just confused the situation even more....just follow up with your gynecologist. That would be best.
