Worried crazy

Went to Dominican Rep oct 24 and had unprotected oral and protected vaginal with a escort. Had no symptoms or anything but because of guilt got tested for chlamydia gonorrhea, and syphillis exactly two weeks from possible exposure using amplified probe dna test. which came back negative. These girls supposedly get tested every three months. Everything was fine until my wife got tested dec 5 as part of her exam and was Swab tested and everything came back negative also which would be about 4 weeks from exposure If I had anything. However some bacteria diptheroids were found in her urine culture. Now I am worried that maybe that was from me and I think it's just psychological but I feel weird tingle near my tip. No burning when urinating or frequent urination. Can I count on these results and move on or should I get tested again?

Only way to rule out everything it testing. But without symptoms, good chance you don't have a STD.

Thanks I just needed some reassurance. So at six weeks post exposure an no symptoms is it safe to rule out everyhing? My conscience is just killing me.

unprotected oral sex is a risk for some std's  - gonorrhea, chlamydia, hpv, syphilis and hsv1.  Your syphilis testing was done too early and needs to be repeated after 6 weeks post encounter since you have another partner. you already covered the gonorrhea and chlamydia parts and had no symptoms suggestive of genital herpes.

protected sex is a risk for herpes, hpv and syphilis. you can test for herpes after 3 months post encounter with a type specific herpes igg blood test and syphilis after 6 weeks. we don't have commercially available tests to cover the hpv testing base.

no real reason to panic that you did bring something home from your wife's testing.

See no rreason for you to test again from a low risk event and negative tests and wife not having positive tests.
