chlamydial persistence?

prior to being tested positive for chlamydia.....  dr. Had put me on azithro due to the symptoms... symptoms did not go away but test came back positive. He then put me on doxy and still test came back positive. Actually it felt like the infection got worse.. from there he put me on cypro a total of two 7 day prescriptions and still having symptoms... My girlfriend went through the same thing but all cleared up with the cypro x 1.. my question is what other treatments are there and/or what should i Look at....??? The cypro did diminish the symtoms quite alot... but i do feel that i stillhave it.. Iwill be tested today again.

sorry for bothering you again.... I just wanted to ask, that i have basically gone from having symptoms to almost having none at all... maybe a little irritation for a min in my urethra after urination... sometimes none at all.. but definitely decreased... is that typical with chlamydia? thank you for your time.

2 questions:

1) What kind of test did you have done for chalmydia?

2) Did you abstain from sex during treatment?
