how long will it take before I know if the antibiotic is working
I have been taking metronidazole for six days now and still have a discharge. I still have one more day of meds, but should the discharge be gone or does it take awhile to clear up?

Oh and if you have a partner, your partner needs to be treated as well, and if you've had sex since starting treatment, you might be re-infected.

It should be clearing up by now.
If it doesn't clear up within the next few days, you should follow up with your doctor. There is new info suggesting a trich resistance to flagyl, and there is a new medication called tindamax. Ask your doctor about it if things don't clear up soon.
