Tested Negative

My partner presented with penile discharge the is yellow/green and pain during urination. He complains of feeling like he has to pee all the time, but can not go, or goes a little and stops. He also said that during ejaculation, it feels like he has to pee.  I was tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea using a urethra swab, urine sample and eye swab. I had a diagnosed viral pink eye infection by an opthamologist. All my tests came back negative. My partner saw his doctor and was prescribed 3000 mg of azithromycin in a single dose and 500 mg cipro 2 times a day for seven days. He is at day 5 of the cipro. He is waiting gonorrhea test results. However, his symptoms still persist. My questions are:

1. Are his symptoms common for gonorrhea?
2. Is the treatment given to him effective to cure gonorrhea?
3. If I tested negative, what are the chances of a false negative? And is it likely I gave it to him if he tests positive?
4. Should his symptoms have subsided by now? And if so, could this be something else?

Thank you for the help.

My ex-boyfriend had that it was clear and I didn't pay to much a attention to it coz it was @ arousal so I thought it was seminal fluid. As it progressed it turned to yellow-green thicker discharge that dripped from his penis again everytime time he got an erection. He refused to go to the clinic. I went cause this isn't normal. I had all the test done and was told everything looked normal. Well 7 days later I got a call from the clinic and was told that I had Trichonomais. Make sure he get tested for Trich, as well as you and the battery of other tests.

1. Yes or possibly chlymida but sounds more like a very recent gonorrhea infection
2. Yes
3. Rare, but depends on how he was tested...swab would be very rare and urine test as long as it was 1hr after his last urine it would be valid.
4. It can take up to 2 weeks for all symptoms to leave but after the 1st day or 2 symptoms normally start to get better. Could it be anything else other then gonorrhea or chlymida...probably not based on symptoms.
