gonorrhea

If a male has gonorrhea or clymedia (penil discharge) how soon after would he show these symptoms? Is there a possibility that he has been infected for some time and just now showing symptoms or does this mean hes sleeping around?

Hi, it would be best to post your own question but to answer it here is a false positive test is not common at all and really the only thing that would cause it is a lab mix up of paper work. BUT i will say that symptoms of gono in men almost always cause a white puss discharge from the penis and burning while urinating without any doubt that there is an infection. So if your male partner is not showing symptoms then maybe it is a false positive.
What type of test did they perform on you last?

Usually symptoms occur within a few days to a few weeks.  Perhaps more information from you would help us better help you :)

Hi. I am soon to be married, I went to a clinic for birth control and they did a routine check. They called yesterday and said j needed to be treated immediately for gonorhea. I gave birth in August of last year. During that time, they did two Pap smears and cultures and one more in October. All came back negative. I have not ventured out of my relationship and I fully trust that he did not either. What are the chances that we were both asymptomatic and three cultures were false negatives? What are the chances this last test was a false positive and neither of us actually have anything? I requested to be retested and he is going to get tested as well. Of course we both HAVE to be treated but I would like a little bit more insight into the tests accuracy.
