how does condom provide protection

Dear Doc,

I had protected sex (two consecutive times, each with a new condom) with an escort a week ago. from other threads i understand that you see this as a low risk or almost no risk activity. are all STDs transferred from the tip of the penis, can i get any while taking off the condom or does the amount of fluid entering the shaft must be more than only few traces. also what is the average possibility of catching HIV in each protected intercourse (one in how many??)

Thanks in advance

Herpes is treatable but not curable. Syphilis is curable and HPV will purge its self from the body.
No risk for anything else. And even the risk for the above is low due to condom usage.

You won't get any removing the condom, and most stds have to enter the urethra at the tip of your penis.

There is a possibility you could get herpes, syphilis or HPV when using a condom, as condoms don't cover all the skin, but condoms do decrease the chances substantially.
