Some get STDs easier?

Do some people contract STDs more easily than others?  I have had about 20 sexual encounters (different women) over the past 20 years, and I have (stupidly) not used protection in about half of those encounters.  Some encounters were with escorts as well.  I have never tested positive for anything.  I have been tested as recently as 6 months ago with a full panel from simple chlamydia thru HIV.  All negative.

I am not seeking to get an STD, I just wonder, frankly, why I have not run into one yet after some very stupid nights.  There were a couple of times I fully expected to be positive for at least chlamydia.

I would like to hear some feedback on this one.  I am a white male of northern european descent and I am circumcised.  100% of my encounters have been in USA or northern Europe.  These are factors that could matter as well.

I agree.  Someone is keeping an eye on me and keeping me safe.   I am not blatantly reckless, just sometimes stupid and over-zealous.  But thanks for reminding me how lucky I have been.
