Well I just got back from my family doctor's office and he looked at the area in question. He said it looked like an infected hair follicle (I forget the word he used) but could not be certain.
He said it was not syphilis because of how it looked but that he recommended waiting 6 weeks then coming back for a blood draw to test for herpes.
Now here is my next question: I already have an appointment with a PP clinic for this Monday for a full STD screening. Since my family doctor is not an 'expert' on STDs, should I go to the screening at PP or just wait the 6 weeks and get the herpes test?
not itching and not hurting means this isn't likely to be herpes going on.
since this was unprotected sex, covering your bases properly is in your best interest. you can get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea next week when you are seen. odds are you've never been tested for herpes before so ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test to be done now and then repeat it in 3-4 months to err on the side of caution. the risk of herpes from a one time encounter is very low but cover your bases for peace of mind.

I wish I could get an earlier appointment...
I took a picture of it at first and one now; it seems now it is scabbed over, but still 100% painless, does not itch or burn or anything.
I read online that herpes will come with other symptoms such as fever and swollen glands, etc. but a few articles suggest that herpes can have no symptoms and only one small bump that is painless (what I have)
This could be anyhing, it is impossible for us to give you a diagnosis... yes you were at risk for all STDs but a bump could be anything... There is no way your doctor could fit you in sooner? if the bump becomes an open sore you should call them back and let them know becuase if this were by chance an std it would need to be swabed with in 48 hrs of becoming an open sore.
I would'n't panic yourself, bumps don't always mean an STD it could be staph or a bacterial infection or something else. Try to relax until your apt. and again if it gets worse call you doctor. Wear a condom, and you sould consider a full STD panel at the right time as you were at risk for all stds.,
