Am I infected

I had unprotected vaginal sex in Africa 8 weeks ago.  The girl was possibly a prostitute, but I do not know for sure.  About  ten days later, and on the second day upon my return from a 21 hour flight, I experienced mild back pain and general fatigue.  I was originally worried that I had contracted malaria, and went to the doctor, but said nothing about unprotected sex because I was ashamed. They drew blood and tested for malaria and the tests were negative. He also did a general exam and found no problems and no swollen lymph nodes. I thought  that maybe the long flight, jet lag, etc. was the cause of the back pain and fatigue, which lasted less than two days.  2.5 to 3 weeks after the sex, I begin to feel very slight burning or soreness under my armpits.  This continued and eventually felt like tightness in my chest and pain under my armpits.  I have yet to find  any swollen lymph nodes under my arm via self examination but have found a few in my neck (near the back and near the collar bone) but I have been feeling around so much that I can't tell if these nodes are normal size or what.  I am now at week 8 and am so worried.  I am going to have an HIV test this week, but so scared of the results. I know this post is just for general information but any responses, good news or bad news, will be much appreciated.
