Is this an STD?

Hi,
I had unprotected sex with a guy about a year ago. I met up with him again 2 months ago - but did not have sex - only kissed, petted etc.
However, about 1 month after the last meeting, I have noticed 2 smallish itchy, red sores on my vulva - one has now crusted over, the other hasn't.
Could this be an STD and if so what kind? Also would I still have time to treat it at the Drs?
Any advice?
