Unprotected oral then protected sex. How soon can I take antibiotics?

I had unprotected oral and anal oral followed by protected sex with a random woman.  I'm not showing any signs but I do have a full treatment of doxycycline on hand and want to take it to nip any thing in the bud just in case.  How long after the incident should I take it to be most effective?  I know it's low risk sex, but I just want to take it to be sure without getting a test.

Don't take antibiotics you don't need. That's how resistance is created.

Also, the most likely thing you'd get from oral sex is gonorrhea, and doxy won't cure that. You need to actually get tested if you are concerned. If you take the wrong antibiotic, and then get symptoms, you'll have to wait 3 weeks to test in order to get an accurate test result.

Just test instead.
