Please help

i received oral from a girl about 6 months ago....ovious signs of herpes now appear. But my main question doc is im scared i might crontacted hiv as well...could receiving oral make me positive. there was no blood in her mouth nor was there any on my penis. would saliva put me at risk? please help

I would just like to add that Oral Sex gives you very slim odds of contracting HIV.
For you to get HIV you would have to have direct, and somewhat long exposure to the virus. Blood would cause you to contract if she did have some in her mouth, but saliva does not contain cells, therfore can not contain the virus.

Just thought I'd add in what I learned from research. For the virus to live and transfer from one person or another, there needs to be direct contact with a living cell carrying the virus.
