Did I infect my girlfriend?

Ok let's start at the beginning. In early December I was on a business trip I was very intoxicated and had protected* sex with a stripper. A mistake that I regret everyday. When I say "protected" I mean mostly protected. I had the condom on a little more than half way. We had sex for about 5 minutes and she never went past the condom- it was very restricted sex- in the normal dancing area- so gross.

I arrived home the next morning and without thinking had unprotected sex with my girlfriend. Less than 12 hrs after exposure. About 2 days after exposure I started feeling a slight irritation at the head of my penis and in my urethra.

At 5 days after exposure I had all std tests done and everything came back negative. I took antibiotics for chlamydia,
Gonnorhea just Incase and they made the irritation go away for a day or two but it came back. Then my doctor gave
me antibiotics for trichomoniasis. That made the irritation go away slowly over a week. (Meanwhile I was abstaining from sex with my GF). After the irritation was gone for about a day, a week after I took the Antibiotics we had sex and within 2 hours I had irritation again.
I saw urologists and was diagnosed with prostitis and given a series of antibiotics for 8 weeks in total. At the end of 8 weeks the irritation was less painful and not nearly as constant. In that time that I was taking antibiotics my girlfriend had her yearly papsmear and had a (full? I think) STD test that came back negative. (Also I had 3 diffrerent std tests done including trich which came back negative)
After the 8 weeks of antibiotics I saw a new doctor who ran a series of tests on my prostate and and told me it was my guilt causing the prostitis. It was all in my head. After that the irritation subsided. And I went about my
Life.
Now six months after my exposure my girlfriend is complaining about a mild irritation in her urethra (going on 5 days) she doesnt have any vaginal swelling, rash or discharge. She says its like the start of a uti After she pees and after sex.
I never had anything other than irritation. Now that she has brought it up my irritation is back in full swing. Other than the slight irritation the head of my penis kind of burns after sex..

So my question is.. What is the chance that I actually DO have something like trich and infected her? Should I confess  before she goes to get checked out. Or do I wait till she gets her test back and hope for the best?
We have been together 8 years and I plan on asking her to marry me this fall. We have our whole life planned out. I don't want this stupid drunkin incident to end what we have but I desperately want to be honest with her, needles to say her health could be in jeapordy.
Gah! What a mess.
Anyway, any advice or well anything would really help.
Thanks!

A. Thats more reason to believe you did not contract anything.
b. As grace suggested, and this will help you for sure. If she has told you she has an irritation down there, then suggest her to go see her doctor for a checkup.

I just wanted to ad some detail as I'm back to losing my ****.
Detail A) after the initial intercourse because of the location I left the condom on and zipped up my pants, not till after I left the club did I take the condom off and despite my inebriation I remember my briefs feeling wet...
Detail B) my girlfriend has had UTI's in the past and they come and go. However this is not a complete uti. It is just a slight irritation in her urethra like the beginning of a UTI but never more than that..and it comes and goes every couple days or so..(basically the same exact symptoms I have been feeling)
Does this sway any of your answers with these new details come to light?
Thanks again for your feedback!

Thanks both of you for your help. I think I know that it's not an std deep down but I didn't have anyone to really talk about it. So I just search the std information sites.. Doubt creeps in and I scare the sh*t out of myself
I had blood and urine tests done through out my 8 weeks of antibiotics and they all came back negative but I am going next week for full tests + HIV as a six month marker. What a mess what a mess.
Thanks again!

not likely this is a trich issue. odds are your gf would've been infected by now with it and it would've been reflected in her pap.

fyi - pap testing isn't std testing. some paps do test for gonorrhea, chlamydia, vaginitis, high risk hpv and trich though and it sounds like this was what your gf had done.

is this guilty penis syndrome? it could be. your provider telling you that and it all going away pretty much backs it up too.

is  it likely your gf has a std causing her symptoms now? no it is not. she should be seen though and get basic urine testing done.  an untreated uti can lead to further complications so she needs to do her part at this point.  uti's in females are very common. the way our anatomy has our urethra, vagina and anus all so close together makes it easy for bacteria to infect our urinary tract during wiping and sex.  even what is "normal" mouth bacteria can cause us infections when in the urogenital tract.

you should follow up on your std testing though just to be responsible since you have a regular partner. your syphilis, herpes, hiv and hepatitis testing was alld one too early.  not likely you have any of those but since you have a regular partner to protect, repeat them if you hadn't since you were tested at the 5 day post encounter mark.

Why dont you go have another trich test and talk to the doctor about this situation before you say something to your girl. I just cant believe you got something with protected sex. You say the condom was half way on, so the vaginal fluids would have to got to the back of the condom and forced they way down the inside of the condom to get into your urethra!
really a long shot

I am 29. And yes I do probably drink too much.
I worry that I infected her, then I took the antibiotics and then re-infected myself after we had sex and we have both have had it for 6 months only she is just now showing symptoms. I do not know if she was specifically treated for trich.

Prostitus can be caused by others things also not just urine leakage,. my point was it started out as a reaction and in the meantime you developed prostitus. But the thing is that you were treated for trich but after you had sex with your wife when you first came home and this is what worries you? Also you said she was tested for std,s including trich?
Usual symptoms of trich in women is a greenish discharge but diagnosing is not done by symptoms alone but by a test.

Thank you so much for your input. I really appreciate it.
I know, I sound crazy right!?
But the thing is I have had this irritation for 6 months (less now) and I can't imagine an allergic reaction from a single instance lasting that long?
My focusing on Trich as a culprit is because it is hardly traceable in men, can have these symptoms and can bounce back and forth between partners.
It just would of been hard for me to actually contract it... But not impossible.

My point is that you got a condom reaction and the drinking and party life style developed prostitus which is a bacterial infection from urine leaking into your prostate. They can hide in areas and avoid the affects of the antibiotics and sometimes become cronic. What age are you?

The CDC says condoms greatly reduce the contracting of std and that using condoms really adds a low risk to getting them. How do think the stds (that you were diagnosed as dont have and your girl) get into the inside of your urethra?
Usual symptoms of std,s is a white discharge or burning while urinating that occurs about 5 days post exposure. Usually the person gets both as both go hand in hand. The bacteria infects the tissue and causes cells to die and ends up with a white discharge..
The only thing i think happened to  you was the lube or sperasides that were inside the new condom you used gave you some kind of allergic reation to the head of you penis.
