Thanks everyone for your comments
Thanks, no offense taken but didn't really have time to go into a huge drawn out explaniation.
No offence Vance, I appreciate your responses. For some things there's no general consensus even among experts it seems. For example the staff at my local sexual health clinic did a smalll trial and said that chlamydia is not transmitted orally and Dr. Handsfield has said the same. But others doctors such as those at freedom health say it is commonly transmitted via oral sex and they state that these infections wont clear up naturally.I did ask this question to another doctor at freedom health as I couldn't get hold of Dr. Cummings. I didn't think to ask this specific question but I asked if chlamydia and gonorrhoea can be transmitted by sucking breasts and she said that because the nipple is not in contact with the back of the throat then it's not possible. I just wanted to see what others ok here thought regarding the possible mechanics of transfer. Thanks Vance, I can see that you dedicate your time and efforts to a lot of posts on here.
Ok but the freedom health forum is available to view to the public. It's on the freedom health website. It's like medhelp but only experts make comments on the threads. The two incidents I was talking about is what Dr. Sean Cummings wrote on the forum. Dr. Cummings also advises on the international std/hiv forum on medhelp I believe. I'm not debating, just saying that's what an expert said.
I don't believe those reports.
It is not a risk and not up for debate, you can believe what you want and test for what you want but the reasonable and scientific stance is no risk.
Chalamydia rarely if at all affects the throat. But gonorrhoea of the throat can be completely asymptomatic. Maybe it is possible since bacteria can enter the nipples that gonorrhoea could also be transmitted from the mouth in the same way, it is a Bacteria after all. So if it was passed on to someone else or a baby during breastfeeding then it could be asymptomatic? I see your point. But I read on the freedom health forum (uk private std docs) that someone's mum got syphilis via kissing and another got hiv from a severe bite.
In theory the sun could go super nova tomorrow. In theroy an alien race can come down, but it's not going to happen.
Because it doesn't happen. STD's have that name for a reason.
