Skin to skin std's and protected sex

Well, I did something dumb. Think a lot of question I've read on hear start off like that. I am a 28yo male. I'm currently in New Orleans for business. Two nights ago I had protected sex with a sex worker. Besides kissing it's all that happened and it probably lasted a while 5 min...I know I know, lucky gal....anyway I have not noticed anything new or different on the lower part of my shaft where the condom doesn't protect....now I'm not worried about HIV, clymidia, ghonnoria and so on bc the condom was used properly and intack afterwards (unless someone thinks I should be worried.....honestly my main concern in syphilis...now I know it's very rare and mostly in the gay community, but I read online how Louisiana is one of the top 3 for syphilis apparently, so naturally I became paranoid....what kind of odds or chances am I looking at here in my situation for any kinda std really but primarily syphilis or other skin to skin std's?

Was hoping to get on the "ask a doctor" forum but it's not taking questions for some reason, so any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So I could continue normal sexual activity with my girlfriend without concern....also I have a sore on the inside of my lip that I noticed yesterday, so the day after the encounter...all we did was kiss in regards to my mouth and I believe the sore was already there....would a syphilis sore appear within 24-48 hours...and could I get it from kissing?
