std/herpes risk

I believe I received oral sex from a woman I don't know 6 weeks ago. I was intoxicated and blacked out a fair amount of the night. I felt nausious, lost appetite and weight, and felt extremely fatigued for two weeks after. I have had burning at the tip of my penis for the entire time 6 weeks? I was tested at 3 weeks and was negative for everything except hsv1. I have never been tested for herpes before so I have no clue if this is recent or been there a long time orally. This burning is driving me crazy and I have not slept a full night in 6 weeks. Should I just assume it hsv1 genital and take the meds right away? Does hsv1 usually last this long? Would the meds even cure burning tip of penis? Please help! I apologize for posting in two forums I'm just scared

Thanks howard for the reply I appreciate it. Does a high igg hsv1s score tell you anything about when u contracted it? Mine was 30 which seems really high?

I agree with the reassuring replies you had in your other thread with the same questions.

Oral sex is safe sex. Even without condoms, the vast majority of exposure result in no infection.  Your HSV1 infection probably is oral and probably was acquired in childhood; there is no reason to suspect it came from the oral sex event. Your symptoms are not typical for any STD, including herpes. They are, however, typical for the physical manifestations of genitally focused anxiety.

In your other thread, you refer to your GP. You should return to him or her if your symptoms continue or you otherwise remain concerned.
