it was from a pap..and she was a practioner..yea I thought about it last night and decided that i should get another opinion, so i am gonna schedule an appt for another test with another doctor
Did you have an HPV test that came back positive, or did you have the pap smear come back positive?
The typical treatment plan can include waiting, but that also should include watching, where you have a pap again at 3 months, then 6 months, then at a year.
Its ok to wait and see, depending on the pap results, but that must include monitoring. Is there another doctor you can go to for a second opinion?

THank you so much, it really has been upsetting me all night, my doctor did not go into depth about it, and I did not know all what to ask. All she told me was I was high-risk and it should go away within 18 months to 2 yrs and i should take multi vitamins and thats it.
No, you are only infectious from the site of infection. Sounds like he has a cold or something, and if the sore throat lingers, he needs to get checked by his doctor.
High risk types of HPV don't cause visible warts. http://www.ashastd.org/hpv/hpv_learn.cfm is loaded with good information.
