Anal Warts?

Hi all,

I am a bit concerned about anal warts since I am a bisexual male who has had protected anal sex (twice 3 years ago) and cuddled with exposure of penis on my anal region. I had a STI check on May 19th and everything came back negative, including a visual check of warts in my anal region by a doctor. I was wondering, between that time and now, and given my exposures, is it likely for me to have developed anal warts in that period of time? I am concerned because I feel some bumps in my anal region and when I self-examined and took a picture, there were 3 mole-colored things on the side of my anus, is that normal? I also have hemorrhoids and anal fissure so I'm not sure if I'm feeling these things right or if I should go see a doctor (no insurance here). Please help me and tell me what to do or if I'm overthinking it.

Thanks a lot

odds are this isn't a wart. see your provider if you are concerned.

hi, just another question...a small bump that I am feeling near/inside my rectum..a bit slippery and i can kinda toy around with it and it moves around abit... does this sound like a wart? I don't know if I should go get it checked out or not... is it possible to not have visible warts in the outer anal area but have them internally?

is gardasil going to be helpful considering the fact that i've already had anal sex twice and have cuddled naked with other men/women?

you are worrying too much at this point.

definitely get your gardasil shots if you haven't already at your age!  there are just as many cases of anal cancer each year as there are cervical cancer.

I am 20 years old ...yeah I"m freaking out about those "warts" I'm really hoping they're not STD's.....just wondering... what are the odds of warts being internal and not being noticed?

you were just seen a few weeks ago and no evidence of warts were seen. odds are these are not hpv related.

not sure of your age but have you had your gardasil shots?

proper condom use reduces transmission of hpv by 90%.  You can contract hpv but using proper precautions keeps the odds in your favor :)
