Anitvial Tablets

I have a suspicion that I have genital herpes. However, have never gone for testing. I was given acyclovior tablets 6 months ago when the doctor suspected that I have herpes. I never took the medicine that time. Just recently I took the medicine for the first time - it was 400mg 3 times a day for 7 days. After finishing the medicine 5 days later I found a little pimple like stuff on my scrotum and there is a hair in it. It is very small...about 1mm and looks like it is an ucler. My concern is; is this herpes outbreak? If it is than how can it appear so quickly..noting that I had just finished a course of antivial medicine?

I am scared to go and see a doctor. I have stopped having sex for months now with my partner. I do not have the courage to see a doctor and tell my partner if it is positive. I am in a mess now!

Stop spending so much time at home looking at your genitals - go be seen by a doctor and get real answers!!!

I looked at the ucler closely and found out that there is no hair in it. It is open and there is only 1 in my scrotum. I previously had 3 ulcer on the scrotum and one other doctor said it did not look like herpes and was because of rubbing it with soap. I have stopped rubbing it with soap but this 1 ucler does not seem to go away. It has been there for 5 days now. I wanted to ask...does herpes uclersoccur on scrotum? Do herpes come out as 1 sore? Please help?

Why haven't you followed up on this with a type specific herpes igg blood test? Don't you think it's time for once and for all to find out if you have herpes and if so what type?

If there's a hair on it and it's on your scrotum - it's not likely to be herpes. Follow up with your doctor to make sure it's not a bacterial infection that needs additional treatment.  Ask about herpes testing while you are there.
