Can herpes be in male pubes?

24 years old. Been very sexually active. Mostly condom use but sometimes they break.  The point is i have had multiple partners and it was unprotected. My main concern is not so much any symptoms on my scrotum or penis but rather my pubic hair. I'm pretty sure it's ingrown hairs or pimples.  Either wU my main question is does herpes for men show up in our pubic hair. I don't shave so I don't know why ingrown hairs appear but from what I've read it's common.  And every time I look for herpes pictures there mostly on the penis. Again this is a single elevated what looked to be a ingrown hair I guess I'll know more if it grows into a blister or something but I don't foresee that happening. Any info will be great. Iasked my doc for a random test and he asked me whY my symptoms were and I said nothing cuz at the time there wasn't anything but now I have a red barely raised bump/ingrown hair I think. Again my main question is do guys get herpes in there pubic hair cuz I can't find any of that information online. Thanks guys and girls/doc. Worried sick

If you read the top of this forum, you'll see that we ask herpes questions to be asked in the herpes forum. all future questions should be asked there - thanks!

This sounds more like folliculitis than herpes.  follow up on it promptly for proper diagnosis.

If you haven't been getting regular std testing done, be sure to ask for it too - including herpes testing.
