Chances of an STD from a *******?

I received oral sex from a prostitue without a condom. I definitely regret that decision. Could I have gotten HIV or any other STDs?

How long should I wait to get tested for HIV? What STDs might I look out for, what are there symptoms and how long should I wait to get tested?

Its only been a day. I haven't noticed any itching or breaking out. Should I be worried?

Thanks...
Peace....

You could test for G/C at 4 weeks.

HIV and Syphillis at 6 weeks.

Oral to Genital Contact for Herpes is very rare.  It can happen but very rare.  Oral Herpes is very common and you might already be immune to it from past infection.

Your average time for symptoms to occur with G/C/Syphillis would be from 2 to 21 days.  I wouldn't test on single exposure unless their are symptoms.  I do understand for peace of mind reasons to do so.   Good Luck and Take Care.

Hiv is a very low or no risk activity from one oral sex encounter.  As long as you use a condom for vaginal and anal sex then you hiv status will always be negative.  You can test at 6 weeks which will give you confirmation of your status.  Those results will be negative based on the information you provided.

Ripazzio has covered you on the other std risk..

Howdy.

Everything is always possible, but risk for HIV is very minimal and for STDs low. According to dr. HHH, chlamydia is very rare orally. Gonorrhea and syphilis will most likely develop symptoms within 1-4 weeks. Personally I would see that the biggest risk you have is getting herpes if you didn't already have it orally. One time encounter is too low a risk to be estimated, but it can always happen. Since syphilis has become rare nowadays, I would say that you have nothing to worry about, in case you do not develop any symptoms within 2 weeks. But is doesn't do you no harm to get tested later.

Take care.
