Did I have an STD?

Firstly I am a 29 year old male that has been with the same girl for 8 years. Approximately 5 weeks ago I got drunk and let my curiosity get the better of me. I spent time with a transsexual escort. We both performed unprotected oral on each other and I was the insertive partner for anal sex with use of a condom. 9 days after the encounter I noticed that I had to urinate a whole lot more then usual and urinated some 8 times that day.

The next night I awoke with a swollen scrotum that pulled up really high I got a fever and felt sick. The consistent urge to urinate continued to occur as well as the added urge to poo. I began to dry heave. There was no burning sensation when urinating and there was no discharge. My poos were watery and had a green/yellow tinge to them and smelt weird. I went to the doctor the next day and was given doxycycline for 10 days, which I don't believe did anything. I continued to have the urge to urinate and poo and would sometimes urinate more then 10 times a day and poo more than 3 times a day.

Just over a week after taking the doxy I got tested for gonnorhea/chlamydia as well as herpes/syphilis/HPV/HIV, with all results coming back negative. My doctor gave me a 1 dose of Zithromax and said to take it after the test had occurred, which I did. It has been 5 weeks and the swelling has only just begun to settle, however the need to urinate is still present. Until a couple of days I would wake up in the mornings with a swollen scrotum and feel rather sick, at one stage nearly taking myself to hospital. I again repeated an sti test, which again came back negative. I had also been feeling generally unwell within this time and found that I had next to no appetite.

I went to the doctor last night and was given Cipro 500 for a week, for possible orchitis or prostatitis.

Q. Can someone please help me. Has anyone got any idea as to what this could have been?

You have been tested although taking antibiotics can affect the outcome from the test.  Try using the mayo clinic active website for possible illness.
