Dozens of tiny dots on my stomach

First off I should say that I am positive for Herpes symplex 1. That being said I have never had any major concerns or symptoms.

About 2 weeks ago I began noticing a few small red bumps on my stomach. They were initially very small, maybe half a dozen of them, but over the past week, specifically today, they have almost quadrupled in number (but not size). So now I look like I took a pot shot from a shotgun.

The bumps themselves don't itch or burn, and are very small, almost pin head size. I have no idea what this could be, and thought I would get some advice while I wait for my Drs appointment.

I'm not saying it is MC but check out some info on Mollusc u m Contagiosum - they are common on the belly area and can be from very small to a few mm in diameter. They can start out reddish or flesh color but they will develop a white head part eventually with a little dimple in the middle -- it is also know as MCV - its a virus, but harmless and it goes away eventually -

Doesn't sound like an STD to me but see your doctor to find out what is going on.
