Genital Warts or Molluscum Contagiosum

Hello,

For about a month I've had a couple of small blood blister or pimple-like looking bumps on my inner thigh very close to my scrotum and penis. They had been there for about a month or maybe a little more but they didn't grow or change at all, then I noticed i got two smaller but extremely similar looking bumps on the shaft of my penis and one identical to the ones on my thigh right below my bellybutton. Frustrated, I decided to pop the one right below my bellybutton like a pimple. A tiny bit of white, puss-like liquid came out and then it bled pretty intensely for such a small opening. After a couple of days, the one I popped dried up and healed like a normal pimple would, but the ones on my inner thigh and shaft remain completely unchanged. Finally I decided to go to a dermatologist and see what he thought the pimple-like bumps were. By this time, I had four of the tiny pimple-like bumps on my shaft. He looked at them for a minute and told me they looked like tiny genital warts, and gave me a gel, but I remain skeptical. I have researched the topic for over a month now on the internet and on books and the pictures of any kind of genital warts don't look like what I have at all. INSTEAD, the pictures and descriptions I found on Molluscum Contagiosum are pretty much IDENTICAL to what I have. The bumps are not caulliflower like or rough at all, instead they are smooth little blood filled pimples that look nothing like the pictures of genital warts I have seen.

What does this sound like?
If they are in fact genital warts, why can I pop them like pimples?
What should i do to get a 100% accurate diagnosis?

For better description, the bumps do not hurt at all, or itch, and they are not irritated. Pretty much they are just alarming and visible but provide me no symptoms of discomfort or anything at all. They do seem to be contagious within my own body.

Thanks in advance, as you can understand this is very alarming and scary.

Genital warts does go away, and you won't be infectious forever.  I'm appalled that health clinics are still giving this info - we've known for quite a few years now that it isn't a forever thing.

90% will clear it within 2 years.

I had the same problem (until today). Small bumps on penis much like a pimple. I popped one too. Eventually went to a health clinic and was possibly misdiagnosed with genital warts and they were burned of with nitrogen. Went to health clinic today and talked with nurse about having sex without condom and risks of spreading warts. After describing the bumps she said it was " mollescum contagiosum and not genital warts that I had (I had them fifteen years ago)". They had told me genital warts could come back....and that it would never be safe to have unprotected sex ever again since I could stil be contagious to someone else. Anyway
I am very happy to find out and doing my own research now.
From what Ive read so far if you have them on your belly and thigh how could they be genital warts, right.
