Well, I'm not sure what you need to get over here - are you just concerned that you actually had it? Or what?
If you can't get over it, its time for some help. Talk to your doctor about specific questions you have about the testing process and about a referral to counseling.

If you look at the female anatomy, everything is very close together, and the DNA of the infection will get in your urethra.
If you had waited at least an hour from your last urination, your urine would be concentrated enough to find that in. If you had urinated too soon prior to the test, it would have flushed that out of your urethra.
I don't know why you are still stuck on this. You know it was a false negative. No test is 100% accurate. Its time to move on.

My Urethra is in a different hole though so how is it accurate? When they did the culture it came out positive, I knew it was a mistake because I'm in a monogomus relationship with my fiance. We BOTH went in that same day when I got the culture results and we both took urine Gonorrea tests. Both tests were negative, but it wasn't the first urine of the day. It was more towards the afternoon when we took the test. Does that make a difference? And what does dilute mean?
Actually, it depends on the swab test used. The urine test is a NAAT type test and is very accurate with a very low false positive rate. But, if the urine collected is too dilute and not the first void of the day, the urine test has a high false negative rate. Based on this, the swab test ,specifically the Gen probe or a culture give the most dependable result (specificity and sensitivity). Take care.
the urine test looks for DNA of the offending agent. It is highly accurate I have heard it estimated it could find evidence of one drop of gonnorhea in an ocean so your doctor is right. Your urethra is in your vagina so that answers that.
