Gonorrhea please help

Hi,

I had unprotected sexual intercourse a week ago, and 2 days ago started to feel pain when urinating, and also a constant discomfort on my vaginal area. I am experiencing very small amount of discharge not that regularly. I also have a red raw area on my vaginal area and this is giving me a burning sensation all of the time. I am very worried as I have never experienced anything like this ever before. I went to the Doctors yesterday and gave a urine sample. I was told that there was no minor infections there and then, however he told me to ring back in 10 days to see if one of my tests came back from the lab. He also told me to call back in 3 weeks to see wat the results were of another test done for Gonorrhea or clamydia. I cannot wait this long as I am in great pain and discomfort at present. So I called my Doctor again after researching and putting my symptoms and pictures against what I am experiencing and I am almost certain that I have Gonorrhea. So I requested that I get tested by a female doctor tommorrow. If I have Gonorrhea will they be able to tell me straight away or will they have to do swabs and send away a lab aswell as the urine, as I cant wait anymore? can you please help me as I am frustrated and worried.

If you fill in your Dr about your concerns and when you are leaving then he/she might treat you. Like I said it is not always better to treat without proper diagnosis.

Best thing for future sexual encounters is to always use a condom until you are at a point where you and your partner want to have unprotected sex. Then both people go get tested for STD's. This will ensure that both do not have any STD so you can have unprotected sex. Also remember if having unprotected sex with a partner who does not have any STD's to use a form of birth control.

Ok, I understand that, but this will never be happening again for as long as I live, This is the 1st time Ive ever had unprotected sex and it will be the last!!! I couldnt deal with this again. So Can I request the treatment anyways for Gonorrhea. if this is what I want if I ask the Doctor this. I am also going to Spain on the 4th and this really needs to be gone before then.

Yes a Dr can wait to treat until test results come back because sometime treatment for something you don't have can cause negative side effects and make you more resistant to the medication in the future.

With an infection like gonorrhea it is a lot easier to tell in men then woman so a lot of times it can be mis-diagnosed for something else, so that is why a lot of times tests are needed.

I know right... I cant wait another day. 3 weeks is crazy. But I know myself that its not something you wouldnt notice or something a Dr couldnt tell by looking at it, and it really needs to be treated as its only going to get worse and I'm already so uncomfortable. Could a Dr let you leave a clinic knowing that their could be a huge possibility that I have Gonorrhea without putting me straight onto a course of antibiotics to clear it? or can they decide  that if they dont know for certain then they can wait for the test results even if this is not what a patient wants.

Some offices can to the tests right then and there others have to send it to a lab. Some Dr's will treat without a diagnosis others will wait for the tests. Only your Dr will be able to make that call.
But 3 weeks is too long to have to wait.
