Gonorrhea questions

I have a couple of questions about gonorrhea.

What are the chances (perecentage) of a woman recieving gonorrhea from one exposure of recieving unprotected oral sex (cunnilingus)?

What are the chances of gonorrhea taking 2 years to show symptoms in a woman?

they should be properly testing you for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections, not just visually diagnosing you.

no reason to think this is gonorrhea going on either.

Well the unprotected oral sex happened about 6 years ago.  However, 2 years after it happened I had vaginal itching, I went to the doctor and she didn't do any tests but said she saw yeast and perscribed me a pill to cure yeast infection, I took it but it didn't help at all.  I thought maybe I needed another pill so I took another pill and eventually the symptoms did go away.  Recently I started itching again and the same doctor gave me more pills and my symptoms went away right away.  I am just paranoid that it could have been gonorrhea and not a yeast infection.  I had read one post from the Dr HHH saying most gonorrhea will clear up in women after 3-6 months so that makes me feel better.  I think my anxiety has just got the best of me.

you can get gonorrhea from oral sex but the risk of such is very low.

yes indeed someone could be infected for 2 years and not know it but odds are symptoms wouldn't show up 2 years into things. sometimes it's having symptoms of something else that triggers the testing and diagnosis.

perhaps some more details about your situation would help us help you better?
