Grace or any of my other H buddies??

Question. Had the recent bld dx of herpes 2. I got irritated and red again but it lasted one day. My husband used some of my left over vag cream on me and it was gone right away. I was planning on getting a culture with my next irritation/outbreak but boom, it was here and gone. Still afraid to get off the Acyclovir to wait for another irritation, redness, itching, skin tear episode to come on again. Either the Acyclovir works like a charm or those irritations are not herpes at all, or it is all in my head. I know I have hsv 2 by blood test but I really do want a culture of the area too. Like I said, I have had negs in the past. So that is where I am at. Thanks grace and H pals. Grace are you on other sites? I can't remember the site but I saw many postings by a Grace. Just wondered if it is you. You have been so very helpful. Hope to catch up with you and any other H pals that want to email soon. Take care, EB

Yep I'm on the herpes homepage ( of course ) and also asha's message board and webmd's message board.  You just can't avoid me...he he he

Redness that goes away within a day probably isn't due to herpes.

Ya thanks. You are right. Now, I am feeling what are probably the cuts again. I am going to wait though til it is full blown, itching, swelling, cuts, redness, etc. to go for the culture though. Now, of course, every little itch and irritation, I am going oh no, is it herpes or isen't it. Can't wait to just get the culture done during a time of irritation. I know I have it either way but it would be nice to just get it cultured anyway. Must have not caught it in time in the past when I asked for a culture, as they were neg. Anyway Grace, you are the greatest!! Thanks for being you, EB
