Help!

So I had oral sex Friday. It was random & I'm never doing it again. He says he doesnt have anything and i thought it was a yeast infection but it's not. I received but didn't do the same for him. Over the weekend it burned to pee but that stopped . It's Wednesday and the only symptoms I seem to have is pressure on my lower abdomen and globs of discharge. The discharge just stays in, it doesn't come out on to my panties. The only time I notice the discharge is when I wipe myself after I pee. I don't know if it's because of the oral sex or because my period is coming up. What should I do?

It isn't a yeast infection because I get cottage chesse like when I do have one . With this it was just staying in my opening but when I wiped it would come out. It was a grayish yellow color. With my abdomen there was a twitch to it. I am now on my period without these symptoms but I do have a much lighter period . I'm 17 and I'm scared to tell my mom because it was just a hook up .

Of course it isn't possible to "know it's not a yeast infection" -- there is a lot of overlap in symptoms for all vulvovaginal infections. However, yeast isn't caught by oral sex and doesn't cause abdominal pain or "pressure", and the timing is good for gonorrhea. And in fact, "thick discharge" (or discharge of any kind) is a poor indicator of yeast. The main symptom of candida vulvovaginitis is irritation (itching, burning pain, etc), not increased vaginal discharge.

ca_1, I hope you'll let us know how it goes after you have been professionally evaluated.

How do you know its not a yeast infection?...usually white thick discharge is yeast. I think u should call health dept and make appt for free std check...even if not std, the swabs and test they do would most likely tell u wat is from. Better to just go and get it looked at because not likely to go away..however before period i also get discharge a lil...but not globs. Not sure ur age o state but std clinics are free. Jus gota call and ask and tell symptons and should get one soon...so dont have to go whole weekend wondering or get worse.

It's uncommon for women to catch any STD from receving oral sex. But some STDs are possible, especially gonorrhea, which can cause all the symptoms you have had. The abdominal pain could be pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which is serious. See a doctor or clinic right away.
