How reliable is a urine test for STD's

Hello, I took a urine test last week with the suspicion of having herpes. I'm wondering how reliable this test was and if this test would be testing for other STD's as well, such as chlamydia or anything else.

Thank you

I know. I'm wondering if after the first time noting happened, nor after the third time (after which I got tested negative), it's safe to engage in sexual activity again with the thought that chances are slim it'll get passed over on the fourth time and not on the first time

Thank you Grace, I recently got negative results back from the test and also had a swab taken for herpes (also came ou Negative). Me and my girlfriend have had unprotected sex 3 times so far, we're looking to do it again but I'm hesitant. If I didn't have any infections up until now, I'm starting to think we're both clean. Is it possible for an infected person to pass on a disease only at the fourth time of sexual contact?

Thank you in advance

please add any future questions/updates to your original post - thanks!!

You can not test for herpes via urine testing. You can accurately test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and ngu that way.
