I am so scared.

I had sex the other day. Two days after I developed a very high fever of 104. I have a severe sore throat and swollen tonsils. I have three cold sores on my lips and small white bumps on the inside of my mouth. The bumps are on my gums. There are four of them in a cluster. There are also a few on the underside of my tongue. I went to a local doctor and he thinks I might have mono, but I won't know until Friday. Doctor, do you think it could be something else?

First, nobody on this forum is a doctor.

It certainly doesn't sound like a STD, unless you performed oral sex (which you failed to mention).  In that case it could be gonorrhea, but even that is not too likely to infect your throat.
