Is it possible to be treated too soon for an std ?

If you didn't have an std but then had unprotected sex with someone who did. Then go straight to the clinic and get treated for the std just a few hours after exposure, is it possible that the antibiotic didn't work ? Maybe the bacteria wasn't developed enough ?

So your saying the antibiotic most likely did work and I'm just overthinking it ?

Yes the antibiotic would stand the same (very high) chance of working compared to some infected for a couple of weeks for example.

A proof of cure test is usually a good idea though so have a urine test for gon/chlamydia. Wait until your next regular check for hiv/hep c/syph.
