Keflex for STDs

I had unprotected vaginal sex, I am female, with a male.  A few weeks later he told me he started having burinng while urinating.  He figured it was an STD, but I do not know exactly what.   When he told me this I was on the medication Keflex 500mg 2x's/day for an cut. (Note: I was not on the medication when we has intercourse.)  I haven't gone to get tested yet, because I thought I would finish the medicine before going, thinking it might take care of anything I might have.  However, I am about to go out of my mind waiting.  Should I wait or go ahead and get tested before finishing the doses?  Would this medication take care of the problem, as he described?  I do not have any symptoms, but I have read, that women don't have the symptons as often as the men do.

Thank you

Keflex has not been shown to be effective for any of the STDs. Women often don`t have symptoms.
