Leg pain, rt hsv 2?

Ever since I got this diagnosis several months ago, I am very aware of my body and what is happening. I have pain to my right thigh area here and there, and left, but not as bad. Pain is not bad, maybe a 2-3 from 1-10. Anyway, I have had the redness and tears for yrs always thinking in the back of my mind it must be herpes and alwasy being told it isen't. Now I am more aware of everything. I don't recall this strange pain but maybe I have always had it too. Doesn't seem to be rt breakout. Then again I don't get a classic "breakout", I only get some tears, itching, redness and irritation. Sometimes really bad and sometimes mild. Now I am confused on when it is herpes and when it is just dryness or regular irritation. This leg pain has me wondering. Oh, and it doesn't radiate far either or shoot down the legs, back, etc. Just kindof strange. Thanks, EB

What does "rt" stand for? Sorry, but I'm one of these people that doesn't know the Internets lingo very well. It would help if you would spell everything out because many people on here just don't know the jargon.  (I got a smackdown recently for not knowing that "SAHM" stands for, of all things, "stay-at-home mom." Who knew? I don't hang out on "mother" boards.)

Okay, I'm a little confused by this post. You say you do have  a diagnosis of HSV-2, is that right? And you are having symptoms that you think are related but are not sure if they are outbreak related or herpes related?

I think it's easy for many folks once they are diagnosed to believe every symptom they were told that CAN be related to herpes IS related their herpes. As the doctor says, we all get nonspecific undefinable pains and tinglings and body achy thingies all over our bodies, and there really is no explanation.

There's no way to say  if your symptoms are related to your herpes (if I read you correctly and you do in fact have herpes).  If you are not already on suppressive medication, I'd look into it. If this stuff is related to your herpes, the medication will probably calm it down.

rt is right. I have probably had this forever and ever but now, with the diagnosis, I am just more aware of all of these strange and off the wall feelings I probably never noticed before.
