Molluscum Contagiosum - When can things resume?

by nmark, Aug 07, 2009 11:07AM
Hi there,

I was diagnosed with MC about three months ago now.  Thankfully, things have begun to improve, with only having had a spot once in the past three weeks. Now, I can finally look toward a future without this!

I'm hoping you can help me with some advice as to how to proceed from here.  I do have a boyfriend, with whom relations have been suspended while I've had this.  Obviously, we'd like to start up again soon, but are both wondering when it is safe to do so.  Should I wait a certain amount of time after my last spot? Once I have no longer have spots am I essentially free to go?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Nicole

you would have to talk to your Dr about this. Some say wait till everything is clear, others say sooner.
