One Important question

I went to Tijuana, Mexico and had protected sex two times with a sex worker about a month back. Both these acts were done with the use of a condom. Do I stand a risk of getting HIV? I got tested and the results were negative. But this was just a month back. Is it true that you have to get other STD's to get HIV. I am really scared and would really appreciate if you could advice me. Is there more chance of me getting HIV if the sex worker was already infected with HIV?

Should I even bother getting tested?

You used a condom which will protect you from HIV.  You cannot get HIV from other STD infections and vice versa.  Their are people that might have a co-infection which is all possible but again you had protected sex with condom.  HIV is a very fragile virus.  Unless the condom broke which you would know if that happened then I would say your experience was protected and not to worry about it.  I have been told as long as you use a condom for both vaginal and anal sex then you cover yourself when it comes to HIV.  Your HIV test will always come back negative.  It sounds like you tested at 4 weeks and that test came back negative which is a good sign.  If you test again it would be for peace of mind.
