Oral Sex incident

Dr. Please help!!! I am a married  man and recently (3 weeks ago) received unprotected oral from a CSW for about 3 minutes. It was my first such episode. I got a z pack for chlamydia,, but am worried about possible gonnarea exposure.  After 3 weeks I have no discharge or buringing so I thought I was in the clear and has sex with my wife a few days ago. 2 days later she's got severe burning in her abdomon. No discharge. She's not prone to UTIs. The timing is just weird. Did I possibly infect her? Thank you.

I am waiting for results. Wife went to her dr given her symptoms, but obviously doesn't know my situation. They put her on some antibiotics for an infection. Word the potential presence of Gonn some how show up on a standard unirne culture? They probably won't test her for STDs.

You didn't answer if you ever got tested?  No symptoms is a good sign you're ok, but if you want peace of mind, get tested.

Your wife should also get checked out if her symptoms persist.

So did you ever get tested or did you medicate yourself?  If you haven't been tested, go get tested.  There is no burning or discharge, but is there anything else you notice?

Please don't listen to people who keep saying your risk is minimal.  That's what I've been told over and over again but no one can figure out what I have.  There are risks associated and you should be tested.

As a side note, severe burning in your wife's abdomen 2 days after sex doesn't sound like it's std related.

No need to worry the Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are easily treatable diseases. Both aren't life threatening.

Just get tested, take the necessary treatments and you're done.

the risk of a std from receiving oral is low in general.  it's best to not treat unless you get a + test result of which you've had none.

don't let the guilt of the encounter you had think you were at high risk for a std!

your wife needs to go and be seen for her symptoms.
