Oral sex and std transmission
One week ago, I performed cunnilingus on a stripper at a strip club for about 1 minute and didn't think much after being completely intoxicated. However, 2 days later, I noticed that I was feeling slight itch in the crotch and had frequent urination (maybe every 30 minutes). I went to get tested on day 3 post exposure for STD's, the clinic tested for Chlamydia, Herpes (1,2), and Syphillis. I tested positive for Chlamydia and Herpes 2. I couldn't believe after just 1 minute of oral sex I had contracted 2 STD's! I am extremely worried since with such a short period of time, I was able to get 2 pretty disgusting STD's. I'm still worried about Gonorrhea as well as HIV. What is the likelihood of HIV? I heard Chlamydia is low risk with oral on a woman, apparently NOT! Any advice would help. I have to break it to my wife this weeked as well.
the only tests accurate 2 weeks after sexual contact are gonorrhea and chlamydia. you have to wait 6 weeks for syphilis testing and 3 months for hiv, herpes and hepatitis.
Thanks for all the help. I went to my general practive doctor and got urine/blood tests, all negative and normal. The prior testing facility he says didn't know what they were doing. I got tested with him after 2 weeks of exposure. Do you think I should do another at 3 months to make sure? What's your best advice? I'm still nervous...
the chlamydia blood test isn't very accurate. we don't recommend its use at all. if you didn't treat yet, retest with an urine test.
I will gladly look at your hsv2 igg results if you want to post them on the herpes forum - e.g. hsv1 igg .56 and hsv2 igg 8.5 or whatever they are. that way we can make sure you were properly tested and don't need further confirmatory testing for that too.

However, you may be onto something- the Chlamydia test was a blood test. I've read a lot on this forum that the Chlamydia blood test gives off more false positives especially if you are fighting infection related to a number of other things. Can someome advise on this?
There's absolutely no way I had Chlamydia before this exposure, I'm pretty certain that this exposure was the only way I contracted both of those STD's. Oral sex is dangerous, and I'm still waiting for the window period to test for HIV.
you performing oral on someone would put you at absolutely zero risk of having genital symptoms dear.
there was never any need for std testing. the chlamydia and hsv2 were obviously something you had prior to this and just never realized. they won't be contracted orally and work their way down into your genital area!!
