Please tell me it's friction...

Hey doc, I am in a 9 mos monogamous relationship with an older lady. We have been having intercourse regularly with no problems. Recently we were having intercourse outside and it was kind of cold  out and during she began to dry, causing a lot of pain and friction. We hadn't washed up and we did it again within an hour or so...the next morning, in the pubic hair on top of my shaft was irritated and red. Over the next week I developed a lump under the skin which I messed with too much trying to find where the irritation was coming from and it opened but there's not any discharge, just a slightly raised sore, no itching or burning, just unsightly. I have gotten cold sores from time to time since I was very young around my mouth, not STD, and it seems to have different characteristics such as no puss, but it started like one with the irritation, turned lump, turned scab...any info would be greatly appreciated thank you.

A stomach tumor is a stomach tumor, not HPV.  With bumps it is hard to tell you anything other than see a doctor.  But it does not sound characteristic of a primary herpes outbreak.

The thing I'm most worried about is herpes. The irritation is only in the hair follicles, is that consistent with herpes? Also my partner said she's had a tumor removed from her stomach, is that hpv? Could this be a symptom of hpv?

I would get it checked out -- it never hurts to make sure everything is ok, even if you think it is nothing.
