Redness, dryness and irritation of penis head

Hi,for the last couple of months i have experienced redness around the opening of my penis and the head of my penis is always very dry.Sometimes it is irritable after urinating or masturbating, both at the opening and up the urethra.I went to my doctor straight away and he prescribed canesten cream thinking it was thrush but that has not cleared it up.any ideas what it could be and how to heal it?

Try Clotrimazole 1% cream.  It's a bit thick and will hurt first time you try to spread it but it does help.  It has for the most part chased away the burning and redness but I still have an underlying NSU diagnosis.  It takes a while for it to work too, at least a week.

It sounds fungal, and since the cream isn't working, you need to go back to the doctor.
