STD risk discrepencies

This website has made me feel a lot better about things I have worried about, with regards to sexual activity.  However, on almost every other website, while in agreement that unprotected oral sex is low risk for HIV, they all say that unprotected oral sex is about the same risk for other STDs (including chlamydia) as is unprotected anal or vaginal sex.  Why is this?  I trust the advice I hear on this site, but am curious as to where the discrepancies in advice come from.  Thanks

It doesn't take any expertise to make a claim on a website.

The sites I would trust most are cdc.gov, ashastd.org,  and the herpes handbook at westoverheights.com.

I would disagree with that statement, oral sex is lower risk for other STD transmission as well.  Of course there is still risk for transmission, but it is much more likely you will acquire an STD through vaginal or anal sex.  Just a note - chlamydia cannot be transmitted through oral sex.
