STD with condom?

I recently posted a question which was deleted shortly after. Please don't delete this one; I am just looking for information.

25 days ago I had condom protected sex with a woman I know has had (most likely still has) many sexual partners. Both oral and vaginal were protected with a latex condom that did not break (made sure of it by filling it with water afterwards; did not see any leaks).

On day 23 after the incident, I started having symptoms of frequent urination and a feeling of not completely emptying my bladder when I urinate. They went away for the most part on day 24, but came back today. Also, my urine is almost completely clear, no matter what I drink. I have not had any discharge or pain / discomfort while urinating.

I took a urine test for Chlamydia on day 20 after sex. It came back negative. I am having trouble finding urine tests for gonorrhea and NGU in my country; almost all of them are swab tests which I hear can cause urethritis themselves.

I visited a urologist on day 18 after sex. He prescribed Azythromicin 1g "just to keep me calm", but told me that I could not have acquired any STD because of the condom use. He also told me he didn't think I need any tests. I don't like taking medication without the absolute need of doing so, that's why I went looking for tests instead.

Questions:

1.- Do my symptoms sound consistent with any STD? I know they could probably be related to anxiety, but I have had severe episodes of anxiety before and had never experienced symptoms like these.

2.- Most people tell me that I am being silly about this whole thing given the condom use. I think they take STD risks a little too lightly. Advice?

Sorry for the long question. It's just that whenever I finally calm down, another symptom shows up and anxiety returns.

Right, thanks.

So I went to see another urologist three days ago because of my symptoms, which were not so much frequent urination, but rather slight pressure in my urethra. He touched my prostate through my rectum; it was painful and he said it was swollen.

I told him about my condom-protected lapse in judgment and he said I had absolutely nothing to worry about that because condoms work. I also told him that for the past 6 months I've been having unprotected anal sex with my girlfriend, to which he immediately replied: "there's your infection". Although we´ve never had a problem because of this, the doc is pretty sure that this is bacterial prostatitis caused by E. Cholli or some other bacteria of her rectum. He prescribed 7 days of Ibuprofen and 28 days of Levofloxacin.

It's been three days since that visit. The prostate examination really left me feeling uncomfortable and with slight pain where he touched, which went away completely just yesterday, 2 days after the examination. However, the reason I came back here, and also the reason for me being very distressed right now, is that I masturbated today and there was blood in my semen. This has never happened to me before.

The doctor's assistant told me the doc would return my call later today. I am really hoping that the blood was caused because of trauma during the examination... fingers crossed.

Anyway, just about EVERYONE but me, including two medical professionals, is pretty sure that this is not STD related. Which is why I am not really looking for advice anymore; just wanted to report back.

Only develop where the condom was not protected. And this is exactly what that statement means. It also means the condom could break! Thats what it means by saying its still a risk, breaking and unprotected areas.
Nothing is going to crawl down inside the condom to infect you.

Ok thanks, but this leaves me with another question:

I've read in other posts here that condom protected sex is still a risk for syphilis, herpes and HPV. I am getting particularly afraid of syphilis, since the sore is supposedly painless.

Would it be possible for me to develop a painless syphilis sore inside my urethra, or would it only develop in the area not covered by the condom?

Also, does a syphilis sore produce any discharge?

Thank you very much. This forum has helped clear most of my worries.

Since your affair was protected you had no risk for any stds as nothing could get inside your urethra. What ever sympotms your having are not related to the affair.
