Single sore on side of vagina

Hi, I have been experiencing a single sore on the outside of the opening of the vagina. It is painful to touch or wipe with toilet paper but otherwise it isn't painful when I urinate. I have never had any burning or pain when I urinate. The single sore lasts only 2 days every time, and sometimes when one goes away, I'll get another one. There is always only one, but sometimes it is on the right side or on the left. I'm not sure if it is even an actual bump and if it is it's very small. There is no puss, they never rupture they just go away. I also seem to get lumps under the skin in the groin area which seem to be either cysts or swollen lymph nodes, these also last for 2 days and always go away on its own these are not painful at all. I wear tight underwear(thongs) and they are not always cotton I feel they may be a cause. I also have been shaving for about a year now and I get irritation, I don't remember getting so many sores or lumps when I was getting waxed. What could the sore be? Could the sore and these lumps be connected?

try changing underwear since you suspect irritation from them could be a contributing cause. same with stop shaving too - you don't want to be spreading bacteria around and if these are ingrown hairs from shaving, time for a different method of hair removal.

since these are single sores that reoccur, certainly seeking out type specific herpes igg blood testing 3 months after you last had sex is a good idea too.  try to be seen the next time you have symptoms so they can get a good look at things and give you a better idea of what is going on too.

Probably shaving, but if you want to know more, next time you get one see a Dr.
