Swollen tonsils with white spots = throat gonorrhea?
Hi,

last Friday, I performed deep throat oral sex on a man.

The following Monday, my tonsils were a bit swollen. Then on Tuesday, they got bigger to a point of making swallowing difficult yet painless. A few tiny white spots could be seen on them also.

This lasted through Wednesday. Today, Thursday, my tonsils are still swollen but seem to have decreased in size and it looks like the condition could clear on its own.

My questions are:

1. Does throat gonorrhea does this? I mean, first exhibit sore throat symptoms, then seemingly heals on its own while still being in my system?

2. If I had throat gonorrhea, would I eventually get other symptoms such as pain when urinating, etc?

Thank you for your help.

1-Most of the time it is asymptomatic and a sore throat is the only real symptom but doesn't normally happen. It is probably just a cold or something of that nature.

2-No, STD's do not travel through the body. You might never know unless you get tested or if you give oral sex to another guy who develops gonorrhea.

Sounds like it could be strep throat.  See your doctor.
