Syphilis risk

During a recent lap dance the dancer touched her genitals and then brushed her finger over my lips. About 11 days later I felt a small spot pop up on my lips. If I run my teeth over it I fell some mild pain. It has a small white head but other than that is fairly innocuous. I am terrified this may be a syphilis sore.

Appreciate any thoughts on the risk.

Timing has nothing to do with it. Direct contact with the syphilis sore is the only way to transmit it.

Thanks Vance. Can I therefore assume the bacteria die in 1 second or less I.e. The time taken for her finger to go from her vagina to my lips? Sorry to persist - just wanted to understand the timing.

Direct sexual contact with a syphilis sore. Not indirect touching like you have said.

Can someone help me better understand the transmission mode of Syphilis? I am assuming that if someone touched their vagina with fingers and then immediately touched my lips the bacteria would still be alive given that transfer is 1 second or less? Why would it therefore not be a risk?

I had a slightly painful bump on my lip around 11 days per previous email. This seemed to clear up in 3 days. Am I correct to think that a chancre could not clear up that quickly?

Appreciate any feedback as I am currently quite stressed out about this.

Thanks for the feedback. My nervousness was based on hearing how easily transferrable Syphlis is. I am calmer now as the blemish on my lip has disappeared after 3 days which I assume a primary chancre wouldn't.

this was not a risk for any std!!  it takes a heck of a lot more than that sort of contact to transmit std's.
