Syphilis sore

Hi,
I had protected sex with a guy, 19 days later I had a very sore patch come up on my vagina lips. It's very small and painful to touch.
I don't remember seeing any sores on the bloke and we used a condom for any genital on genital contact.
My question is how likely am I to catch syphilis and how long would a syphilis sore be present for and does it always appear as an open sore?
Thanks

Most likely but you are trying to find the .000000001% chance that you are infected.

Thank you. Just incase he had a active syphilis sore that wasn't covered by a condom, would my blood test of been to seem even if my sore was from syphilis?

So I went to the doctor. I had swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, even though I had protected sex, swab taken from my sore patch and bloods for HIV and syphilis. My chlamydia and gonorrhoea swabs came back negative as I would hope they would. My blood came back negative but I'm still waiting on the swab from my sore.
My questions are, as I was tested 20 days after the protected sex is that too early for a syphilis test even if I had symptoms?
Aldo I had condom protected sex, would this stop me from catching syphilis?
Thanks

I am in a developed country! I was told syphilis in a heterosexual couple was rare, I've had a swab taken from the sore but have to wait 2 weeks for results and I'm worried! Today it has basically healed, u can see a mark where it was but it has heeled over with in 5 days, is this characteristics of syphilis?

If you are in a developed country the chance of syphilis is very very low. Google a picture of a syphilis sore, probably doesn't look like it. Or you can see a Dr.
